Housing Residency Requirement

All full-time students with fewer than 59 earned credit hours (including transfer credits) are required to live in University housing. Students with fewer than 59 credit hours can apply for an exemption from the Housing Residency Requirement if any of the following apply:

• Student will be residing with custodial parent(s)/guardian(s) within a commuting distance of 50 miles of WVU Tech

• Student is married

• Student with children living with them

• Student will be 21 years of age or older by the first day of the fall semester

Students interested in an exemption to the housing requirement should complete the online housing application and select the exemption request option. Your application and verification documentation will be reviewed and a decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
