How to Apply for Housing
You must be an admitted student of WVU Tech before you can apply for housing.
- If you have not yet activated your WVU account, go to login.wvu.edu and follow the instru ctions to activate your WVUD. (This will become your username and password to log into all WVU systems.)
- Complete the 2025-2026 housing application at: myhousing.wvu.edu . This contract is for the entire 2025-2026 academic year.
- Pay the $225 housing advanced payment in the application and finish all sections of the application. Remember, this payment will be credited to your Fall 2025 tuition bill.
- From Feb. 17 through Feb. 28, returning students can select "room renewal" on their paid housing application. If returning students select "room renewal", they will be assigned the exact same room they are currently assigned.
- From March 1 through June 30, paid applications can select the exact room you wish to live in. You can return to your housing application at any time during this timeframe to select your housing assignment or change your housing assignment. Starting July 1, all paid applications without an assignment will be placed in housing, based on the housing preferences listed on their application.
- If you decid e not to attend WVU Tech and need to cancel your housing application , please email the Office of Student Life at Tech-Campus-Life@mail.wvu.edu . If you cancel your housing application after July 1 (or after Jan. 1 for Spring Only contracts), your advanced payment is forfeited.
