Fall 2026 Move-In Information

We are excited for your arrival to campus this August! Living on campus is the best way for you to make connections with your classmates, make life-long friends, and easily access all of your Tech resources. Questions about move-in? Contact us at techstudentlife@mail.wvu.edu. 

Early arrivals are generally not available, except in extraordinary circumstances. If you have questions about a possible early arrival, please email techstudentlife@mail.wvu.edu. 

New Resident Move-In

New Resident Move-In is scheduled for Sat. Aug. 15 from 1-5pm and Sun. Aug. 16 from 8am-12pm. Move-In will be by appointment. Starting July 1, students can return to myhousing.wvu.edu and select their move-in day and time.  Following move-in, all new students should plan on attending Orientation and parents/families are invited to a Parent Reception. New Residents should visit our New Resident website for complete information needed for arrival to campus.

Returning Resident Move-In 

Returning Resident Move-In is scheduled for Mon. Aug. 17 from 8am-8pm. Move-In will be by appointment only. Starting July 1, students can return to myhousing.wvu.edu and select their move-in day and time.

Move-In Shuttles 

Shuttles from the Charleston WV airport, Beckley WV airport, and the Prince WV train station are available Aug. 15 - 18. To learn more and to sign-up, visit our Shuttle Sign-Up website (coming soon).
