Residential Peer Mentor Selection Information
An RPM serves as an important academic resource by providing tutoring, mentoring, and academic activities in their assigned residential building. We seek students who are passionate about academic success and passionate about helping their peers succeed. To learn more about the position, view the online RPM Position Description.
RPM Application Information
- The application must be completed in one sitting. Please make sure your are prepared with your essay answers and your resume.
- One WVU Tech Academic Reference Required. This should be a faculty/staff member at Tech who can evaluate and comment on your academic ability.
- Resume Required. You will attach your resume as part of our application.
- Two Short Essays Required (500 words or less each). Write your answers in a Word document and upload as a Word document/PDF to our online application.
Resident Assistant Selection Information
RAs are vital members of the Student Life staff. Each community has an RA to ensure we create positive, healthy communities where students can live, learn, and grow. RA selection is an in-depth process to ensure we hire the best RAs we can; through our selection process, we aim to hire students who will commit themselves to their communities, to their residents, and to our University.
