Summer Student Life Assistants
The Summer Student Life Assistant is a varied summer position that helps with Student Life projects and programs: summer camps, conferences, campus housing, and new student registration. Dates of employment are May 11 – Aug. 12, 2026. These student positions will work 20-40 hours per week and are flexible to allow for summer classes. Hours will include evenings and weekends. Responsibilities:
Work during summer Golden Bear Registration Days, welcoming and engaging with new students
Help new students with class registration, promote the University, and provide a positive registration and summer registration experience
Assist with daily needs of camps and conferences
Complete room checks before/after departure of camps
Key management and Facilities management
On call rotation 24/7 when camps and conferences are on campus for emergency needs, lock-outs, and other concerns
Assist with housing projects and housing needs
Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
Good academic standing, with a GPA of a 2.5 or above
Good judicial standing with no outstanding judicial sanctions
Demonstrate the ability to be reliable, responsible, confident, and flexible
Demonstrate the ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of incoming students, campers/camp staff, WVU Tech staff and faculty.
Compensation:
Summer housing waiver
$12/hour
